Bringing people together, and educating our community about all things coffee are two vitally important pieces of our values puzzle. Being a source of inspiration and a support to people wanting to learn is a core value. So, hosting events made perfect sense. Expect coffee school (everything from frothing to pouring to get the best out of your at-home brew), cupping days and bigger cultural events that we’ll reveal later this year.
The Maasai people are a nomadic tribe living in the south of Kenya and north of Tanzania, known for their vibrant red garb and intricately beaded neck pieces. After Dave had the privilege of meeting them, the Maasai people have been hugely inspirational to us as a business. Deeply ingrained in their culture is to be courageous, stay calm always, to work as a community and to stay true to themselves. You can see these values interwoven in our culture too.
